Study of possible correlation between CARDIAC ARREST and CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE
Accompanying discussion about FactMed users Questions and Concerns
About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE patients who developed CARDIAC ARREST.
FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 359 individuals taking CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE reported CARDIAC ARREST to the FDA. A total of 41352 CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.FDA Research Report
Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE and CARDIAC ARREST. In doing so, we compare CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE with other drugs that cause CARDIAC ARREST, to help you evaluate whether or not CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE causes CARDIAC ARREST. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, so you can see if CARDIAC ARREST ranks among CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE's most well-known side effects.
Summary StatisticsReports of CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE causing CARDIAC ARREST: 359
Reports of any side effect of CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE : 41352
Percentage of CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE patients where CARDIAC ARREST is a reported side effect: 0.8682%
FDA reports of any drug causing CARDIAC ARREST : 34334
Average percentage for all medicated patients where CARDIAC ARREST is reported as a complication: 0.2152%

QUESTION SINUS TACHYCARDIA | CH-AS SOON AS I STARTED CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE AT LEAST WITHIN A WEEK I NOTICED SINUS TACHYCARDIA. I WAS UP AND ABOUT DOING MY ROUTINE CARE AND FELT WINDED....I WAS ALSO ON AVASTIN EVERY 2 WKS DRIP INFUSION. AVASTIN CAUSED HTN FOR ME. WHICH I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD NOR SINUS TACH. AND THIS WAS A NEW TREATMENT. AFTER MANY AS I HAVE STAGE IV PERITONEAL CANCER/OVARIAN CA, IN WHICH I FOUND SINCE IM AN ULTRASOUND TECH. THESE TWO COMBINATIONS HAVE BEEN BRUTLE THE WORST. AND IVE BEEN ON ALOT OF CHEMO AND CHEMO COMBINATIONS. NEVER HAVE I FELT SO MISERABLE WITH THIS COMBINATION. RIGHT NOW IM OFF AVASTIN CAUSE I EXPERIENCED A GI BLEED OF SOME SORT HAD TO WAIT TO GET MY COLONOSCOPY, WHICH TOOK ALMOST A MONTH TO SCHEDULE. NOW IVE RELAPSED SINCE IN THIS MEANING MY CA125 WAS JUST DOWN TO 200 ......MY COLONCOSCOPY WAS NORMAL. I TOLD BY THE NURSE OR PA AND SAID THIS DRUG'S SIDE EFFECT IS NOT S.TACH. AND I WAS SEEING IT OVER THE INTERNET. MY HOLTER MONITOR PROVED I WAS IN S.T. BUT WHEN RESTING MY HEART RATE GOES TO NORMAL..BUT AS I GET UP AND AROUND ITS INCREASES. I UNDERSTAND AS YOU GO DOWN THE LIST OF DRUGS USED IT NARROWS THE CHEMO OPPORTUNITIES TO STAY ALIVE. | 2015-06-08 10:22:15 |
