QUESTION DEPRESSION	I've had recurrent dopsersien for decades, sometimes lasting a month or two, sometimes a year or more. The worst for me is how much my dopsersien hurts on the inside, how much it makes me loathe and hate myself -- but that's the dopsersien screwing up the chemicals, the neurotransmitters, in my brain and telling me lies. It really makes me feel hopeless, though, makes me beat myself in the head. The most recent episode, Depression led me to go shopping for a weapon because I just didn't think I could hold on any longer. I decided to go into the hospital because I knew I would die if I didn't. This was last year, after 3 years of worsening dopsersien, despite meds and therapy and all. I'm healthy now. though, and glad I'm alive. It is, indeed, crucial to remember that you will feel better someday and that the negative messages your brain tells you are NOT true. QUESTION CHILLS	My son started 25mg of elavil at bedtime 3 days ago for IBS. Today he has severe chills. Would the elavil cause this? If so, why?	2015-09-13 20:53:36
QUESTION DYSTONIA	Took 10mg elavil for 5 days, on the 6th day went up to 20 mgs, and immediately developed a neck spasm jerking forward and bakward. I believe if I were on it longer it would have caused dystonia or torticollis. TCAs like elavil can cause these, but not as commonly as other neurogenic meds can. My neuro said that the elavil brought out an underlying problem, and that benadryl or an anti-Parkinsons or dystonia med would not work. How to I fix this neck spasm? Neuro put me on klonopin 1.5 mg and says it may likely attenuate over time.	2015-12-07 00:19:38
