QUESTION ANTICHOLINERGIC SYNDROME	do statins in general but pravastatin ( pravachol ) in particular that I am taking have any anticholinergic effects? Reason for my concern is that I have discovered that two other medications I am on, glimepiride and Atenolol do. I am uncertain whether Ramipril (an ACE inhibitor) which I am also on does too. QUESTION GOUT	I have taken 40mgs of Pravastatin Sodium for about 8 to 10 years and have had numerous cases of gout attacks never had it before in my life. I pretty much gave up beer,shrimp,organ food and lost 15 lbs. I am now 72 a was on Allopurinol 100mgs for about two years no major change so I stop. I now am looking at reducing my Pravastatin because it does keep my blood pressure down but it can also can cause Gout. QUESTION TRIGGER FINGER	I am 67 years old and never had a problem with my thumb. Within 2 weeks of starting pravastatin I developed a trigger finger in my thumb. QUESTION DISABILITY	High cholesterol & Heart disease run in my family, I took Lipitor for decades and my labs were improved but a year ago I developed muscle weakness and malaise ( I thought I had Lyme Disease and was tested and tested for Lupus prior to stopping the Lipitor) finally my internist took me off it but then cholesterol labs crept up over the weeks... QUESTION EPILEPSY	I have been on Pravachol for many years. I developed rght front lobal partial epilepsy a few years ago. I only get a dizzy spell which lasts a few seconds and nothing else. CONCERN TINNITUS	I am a 54 year old female on 20mg of pravastatin and taking for about 18 months. I had muscles issues at the beginning so was on and off it. QUESTION AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER	can Pravastatin cause intestinal autoimmune disorder? after 4 months taking pravastatin, I had my appendix removed due to eosinophilic appendicitis, had sever fatigue all the time and depression. Dr. attributed it to food allergy after IgG test that said I had antibodies to everything I ate. I went off the prevastatin and feel much better and have lots more energy, less depression. I have no symptoms when I eat the food I am supposed to be allergic to and found no relief from fatigue and depression from eliminating foods from diet Only found relief when stopping the Pravastatin. had very few health issues before going on the drug.	2017-02-18 13:18:06
