QUESTION NARCOLEPSY	I have experienced renal insufficiency, iron deficiency anaemia, increased allergies to dust, grass and cats and acne rosacea, itchy skin bumps on my face, gingivitis, increased menstrual bleeding, blirred vision, hair loss and itcy scalp. insomnisa, narcolepsy, dizinessss, tripping and falling easily, Hospitalized overnight with rapid A.F. , Muscle tension and arthritic aches and pains. I was commenced on Ramipril 15 years ago at th sudden death of my mother, had bought a new house and lost my job. Family dynamics were poor and I had no emotional support. I was on the medication from 39 years to 56 years old. I put these symptoms down to grief, stress andthen just getting old and ugly At last I have met a sympathetic G.P. who recognised these symptoms related to side effects of Ramipril. Why are these symptoms so easily not notice by Doctors? Also, why must Doctors send patients to psychiatrists, making them paranoid and less likely to talk about such nebulous and changing symptoms? I was treated by a dermotologist with Roactuane for "acne" because "I had a problem" Not that it was a side effect of Tritace. I have yet to see an immunologist. QUESTION LICHEN PLANUS	I was put onto Ramipril after my blood pressure increases to 145/85. I was on 5mg felodapine one tablet a day. This was stopped and replaced with I 2.5 mg Ramipril twice a day. My blood pressure increased to 155/95 after about 5 days. Along with this I had an itchy scalp I must point out that I have a j Pouch and at the time was suffering from a long bout of pouchitis. My food passes through me in about 8 hours, Felodapine is a 24 hour slow release tablet. I commented on this so I ended off taking one Ramipril and one Felodapine twice a day. after another week I noticed red marks on my lower legs and feet. various creams were tried after three months the rash has now coalesced into large red areas that are very itchy and painful. I remembered that my brother had had/got Lichen Planus so called him. His it appears was Pseudo Lichen planus caused by some Ace inhibitor drugs for his blood pressure he could not remember the name but on stopping them it went away. I reduced the Ramipril to one tablet a day. I could see and feel an improvement in just 2 days. I will be seeing my Doctor on the 29th November and will ask if it is safe to stop the Ramipril. I now take two half tablets twice a day of the Felodapine. My blood pressure is 145/80 I am a 68 year old male. Blood pressure is Familial problem. I am not over weight. I do feel that even now the actual dose of felodapine I receive is very low because of the rapid transit of food in my digestive system.. I have just the J pouch between my Ilium and Rear end. QUESTION CONSTIPATION	Hello. I am contacting you because since I take Ramipril 1- I started having constipation, sometime 6 to 7 days and then terrible diarea. Although I am a middle age female, I am in great physical shape, I am very active, bicycle everyday to work, kayak on week ends, do gardening etc.. my diet is excellent and lately I have been taking more fibers, start breakfast with apple and nuts and oatmeal with prunes, pineapple, sherries, grains etc.. and it is not helping getting back to normal the way it use to be. 2- I have a cough for no reason that comes and goes.. and mucus in my throat. I own my real estate business and I am under a lot of pressure and my MD blames it on that. However the job might cause the hight blood pressure but In all these years I never had constipation. Dec. 28 2016 I developed a left sided kidney pain. I went to hospital and checked out for kidney stones, released with numerous pain medications. Jan 04 2017 again back in hospital and a CT scan showed kidney stones that needed removal and a growth on my right groin Lymph node, later diagnosed as Mantle Lymphoma I suspect the Ramipril. As all writings I have read advise side effects of that drug indicate, may cause KIdney stone and Angio Cenric Lymphoma. Bio-opsy confirms. QUESTION EMOTIONAL DISTRESS	I am suffering from breathing problem, no activity and no apetite, it's so bad i am close to suicide, my breathing ceases but after 2/3 minutes breathing through my nose i can tke some air in and gradually get the lung functioning again but only until i relax it happens again, i am to say i'm is an under statement, i am terrified. i have been on ramipril for 4 to 5 weeks but i told my consultstant i wanted to go back on Amlopidine again when things were good following my cerebral stroke 25/12/ 16 it's been 3 days since stopping Amlopidine but the breathing problem still exists. Ihave collected 150 tablets now with every intention of taking them. My GP put me on valium just thinking anxiety buts worse when i fall asleep, seconds later i stop lung breathing and now stay awake, getting more and more angry and irritable. I went Alopodine and the problem started, along with a spasm of the lower jaw making it more difficult to mouth and and lung breath.i have shown my wife how to do a tracheostomy in case i can't regain my breath.
