About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of AVASTIN patients who developed ADHESION.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 8 individuals taking AVASTIN reported ADHESION to the FDA. A total of 25384 AVASTIN drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between AVASTIN and ADHESION. In doing so, we compare AVASTIN with other drugs that cause ADHESION, to help you evaluate whether or not AVASTIN causes ADHESION. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of AVASTIN, so you can see if ADHESION ranks among AVASTIN's most well-known side effects.
Summary Statistics
Reports of AVASTIN causing ADHESION: 8
Reports of any side effect of AVASTIN : 25384
Percentage of AVASTIN patients where ADHESION is a reported side effect: 0.0315%

FDA reports of any drug causing ADHESION : 955
Average percentage for all medicated patients where ADHESION is reported as a complication: 0.0060%

QUESTION
RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME
Hi, I am absolutely amazed as a survivor of breast cancer but I nearly died from side affects. I was given Chemo, Herceptin and Avastin. Also radiation. I spent 18months in bed. I developed restless, nausea that would no go away and chronic anxiety. I was treated like I had lost the plot as my physicians had no idea why I had theses symptoms. Now I was the only one in the hospital getting avastin as I was on a trial (Beth). I was told no one else has had these symptoms. Well maybe not but no one else is having avastin. On my last few doses my physiatrist would say that she could bathe it it so it can't be causes any problems. Hello people I am really ill here. As a result I could not sleep eat and lost a lot of weight. One day I had enough and I have fought my way to Health and am drug free and feeling great. I just don't think it is right to treat patients such disrespect. We are sick when we meet the docs so they have no idea the strength and fight we have in us. I would love to find out how to contact the people in America who research these drugs as i think it is important that the know how we are treated. I have no complaints about having the drugs and getting side affects that's parts of trying to stay alive but my complaint is hey treat me with some respect, these side affects are real and I am sick. Thanks for listening. Cheers Cass. 2015-06-26 01:37:30
