The change was at my request after having so many "Lipitor induced polymyositis" muscle biopsies coming in to the Histpathology lab. that I was working in. I was diagnosed as having Essential tremor in 2011/2012, which changed to Dystonia, in my left hand only, after a number of visits to specialists in two hospitals. My cholesterol dropped to 4.5, so went on 5 mg once a day. In November, my cholesterol had dropped to 3.5mg, so my GP took me off Crestor completely, and said to review my lipid profile in May. Now my right hand has very mild symptoms. I am 75 y.o., and all my other chemistry ,including LFTs are almost middle of the normal range. Staying off Crestor, do you think that the dystonia might reverse, and is it possible that Crestor may have caused it.. QUESTION PERICARDIAL EFFUSIONMALIGNANT	I resently spent 3 weeks in the hospital with severe chest pain and shortness of breath. None of my Dr.'s could find out what was going on with me but knew there was something wrong because of my vital signs and breathing. After all kinds of ct.scans, x-rays and blood tests, they finally found blood trapped in the paricardial sack squeezing my heart. They did a paricardial window and drained 550 cc's of blood off my heart and left a hose draining out for another 4 days. However, I was still having a very hard time breathing. They then saw that I now had fluid on my lungs. The pulmonary Dr. drained (again) 550 cc's of fluid off my left lung. The right wasn't so bad and he left that lung alone. They ended up treating me with steroids and said they felt the pain was because my chest had been through so much trauma. QUESTION PSORIASIS	I began taking Crestor and high blood pressure pills a few years ago. Within less than a year I developed psoriasis and went through several months of severe outbreaks on my hands and feet. I was able to see a dermatologist after about 5 months and he was able to get my psoriasis under control with methotrexate. I had stopped taking all other medications. More recently I restarted taking the same medications (Crestor and high blood pressure pills) along with the methotrexate. Within a few weeks the psoriasis outbreaks returned. My doctor is telling me that there is no connection between psoriasis and crestor; I am having serious doubts. I don't know what to do anymore; psoriasis is very unpleasant and I would like to have a somewhat normal life. QUESTION OESOPHAGEAL CANDIDIASIS	I have been diagnosed with oesophagus candidiasis, fatty liver and blocked gall bladder. I get severe pain in all areas of my stomach, chest pains like a heart attack, all these seem to have started around or just after crestor, I have had numerous blood tests nothing shows up,doctors don't know the cause or cure.
