About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of CYCLOBENZAPRINE patients who developed ACHLORHYDRIA.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 1 individuals taking CYCLOBENZAPRINE reported ACHLORHYDRIA to the FDA. A total of 4187 CYCLOBENZAPRINE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between CYCLOBENZAPRINE and ACHLORHYDRIA. In doing so, we compare CYCLOBENZAPRINE with other drugs that cause ACHLORHYDRIA, to help you evaluate whether or not CYCLOBENZAPRINE causes ACHLORHYDRIA. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of CYCLOBENZAPRINE, so you can see if ACHLORHYDRIA ranks among CYCLOBENZAPRINE's most well-known side effects.

NIGHT SWEATS
I took cyclobenzaprine because my doctor prescribed it for severe pain in my back. I took it once (10mg) before I went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and my bed was SOAKED. I woke up very dizzy and out of it. Last night, my pain was so severe in my back that I took another one, paired with 800mg of Ibuprofen. Again, I woke up in the middle of the night and my bed was soaked and so was by body. Again, I was dizzy and out of it. Is this a normal side effect? Or is it a side effect that should make me discontinue the use of it? 2016-03-19 17:07:16

HIP ARTHROPLASTY
I had a partial hip replacement in February. The surgery and rehab went well. I have had muscle spasms in the front of my thigh since then. QUESTION
BLEPHAROSPASM
I started having problems with my eyes closing a year ago. After seeing my regular eye dr 3 times and seeing a specialist countless times having been given Botox ... didn’t work and ptosis surgery on both eyes still my eyes were closing and by now to the point that I couldn’t drive and ran into large things because my eyes closed. This has become such a problem that I was honestly wishing my life would end. Being blind is bad But having your eyesight but can’t use it because of your eyes closing pretty much Always was getting to be more than I could bear. I washed my eyes with baby shampoo at least twice a day, I used an eye mask heated, eye drops constantly but nothing helped! In the last few weeks I was noticing that I was having spasms in my eyebrows making my eyes shut so I started massaging them and my forehead. This was getting severe by now as my eyes closed More than stayed open. I was sleeping all the time as it was just easier than fighting my eyes open. I couldn’t read up on anything because I couldn’t see with my eyes closed. I prayed and prayed until one day last week I thought that since my eyebrows were pushing my eyes shut maybe my flexeril May help???? All I can say is WOW!!!!! My eyes are open!!!! I can see to drive, to work and to read!!! So now when my eyes start feeling like they are closing I take a flexeril but that has turned out to be about 1 every 4 hours. Is this too much? I have read that sometimes flexeril causes blepharospasm but it is Helping mine!!!! I cannot keep my eyes open without it. I am still searching for remedies and any info would be greatly appreciated I am Hoping this won’t be long term but after this last year I really don’t care if it does as the benefits far outweigh the risk. I can see! 2018-01-28 19:09:58
