Study of possible correlation between SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES and CYCLOSPORINE
Accompanying discussion about FactMed users Questions and Concerns
About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of CYCLOSPORINE patients who developed SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES.
FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 10 individuals taking CYCLOSPORINE reported SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES to the FDA. A total of 23141 CYCLOSPORINE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.FDA Research Report
Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between CYCLOSPORINE and SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES. In doing so, we compare CYCLOSPORINE with other drugs that cause SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES, to help you evaluate whether or not CYCLOSPORINE causes SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of CYCLOSPORINE, so you can see if SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES ranks among CYCLOSPORINE's most well-known side effects.
Summary StatisticsReports of CYCLOSPORINE causing SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES: 10
Reports of any side effect of CYCLOSPORINE : 23141
Percentage of CYCLOSPORINE patients where SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES is a reported side effect: 0.0432%
FDA reports of any drug causing SUPRAVENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLES : 2372

| QUESTION VISUAL DISTURBANCE | I've been on cyclosporine 50mg for 4 weeks, then my dose was increased to 75mg per day. It has been prescribed for SLE/lupus. It has been extremely useful for lupus but I experienced blurry vision in my left eye and also my left eye's lid is difficult to open in the night. With my rheumatologist's agreement I've stopped the drug for a week to see if these side effects disappear. Do you have any experience of these side effects and if so, did they resolve with a decrease or ceasing the drug? | 2014-11-22 16:21:56 |
