About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of EXEMESTANE patients who developed MUSCLE SPASMS.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 11 individuals taking EXEMESTANE reported MUSCLE SPASMS to the FDA. A total of 1162 EXEMESTANE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between EXEMESTANE and MUSCLE SPASMS. In doing so, we compare EXEMESTANE with other drugs that cause MUSCLE SPASMS, to help you evaluate whether or not EXEMESTANE causes MUSCLE SPASMS. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of EXEMESTANE, so you can see if MUSCLE SPASMS ranks among EXEMESTANE's most well-known side effects.

QUESTION
TINNITUS
I started taking Exemestane in early Nov. 2015 and on Dec 10 work up with a vibration in my head and all sound was vibrating along with roaring in my ears. It felt as if I was driving on a highway with the two back windows open halfway. I lost some hearing in low frequency hearing in left ear but after being on steroids and nose spray for almost three weeks hearing returned but left with loud roaring noise in left ear and some distortion in right ear. I have always had some high pitch tinnitus but never a low motor sound in my ear. It 's been almost two months and it hasn't gone away and is driving me crazy. Could it be the Exemestane? I was taking famara but it was making my hair fall out. I was also taking arimedex before that for two years but giving me terrible aches and pains. But I much rather deal with aches, pains and hair falling out than engine room motor sound in my ear. It is effecting my whole life. I called my oncologist and she said this is not a side effect. What should I do? 2016-01-31 13:06:18
