About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of GLYBURIDE patients who developed ACHLORHYDRIA.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 6 individuals taking GLYBURIDE reported ACHLORHYDRIA to the FDA. A total of 19046 GLYBURIDE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between GLYBURIDE and ACHLORHYDRIA. In doing so, we compare GLYBURIDE with other drugs that cause ACHLORHYDRIA, to help you evaluate whether or not GLYBURIDE causes ACHLORHYDRIA. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of GLYBURIDE, so you can see if ACHLORHYDRIA ranks among GLYBURIDE's most well-known side effects.

QUESTION
INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE
i took Glyburide when I first got diabetes. it gave me respiratory problems. and made my chest feel tight and sore. I told my doctor that I didn't want to take it anymore. Then after a time, my doctor wanted me to take insulin for my high blood sugar.. I tried insulin and it made me feel terrible. So I went back on the glyburide. Well shortly after that, several months, I started coughing. The doctor said I had lung disease. I know the glyburide is what gave me the lung disease. My doctor said that was impossible. Now I read about a study that proved that glyburide causes lung disease. Any information that you have would greatly help me. Thank you Dave haynes 2015-05-19 02:46:40

MUSCULAR WEAKNESS
I have become weaker and weaker to the point , that I can hardly roll over in bed. I have been on glyburide for six years and would like to know if anyone else has had this happen. I have a weak left foot tendon, which causes me to not walk correctly, and have thought that may be causing the weakness, but now I am questioning the glyburide. Sound familiar to anyone? 2016-01-27 19:07:41
