I mylesf (you can read more about me by clicking my username..but I’m not too interesting!) have OI as well. I have type 3..and am indeed in a wheelchair. Strangely, I too had the option of the pins in the leg/arms..but never had it done. My mom wanted to wait for me to choose as well, and truthfully, I don’t think it would have done much. I’ll never walk, which is perfectly fine..so there isn’t much need for all the painful surgeries. None the less, I live a perfectly normal life..go to college..have friends, and all that. I’m 25, and I’d say quite healthy. I’ll also say I haven’t had a broken bone in years (though I had several throughout my childhood..from ribs..to arms..legs..etc). I was also born with a fractured skull and a broken leg. None the less..I’ve found that at about age 16 things really started to slow down with the breaking, and I have found that my bones have become far stronger. I can do things which I never could..including getting out of my chair, in it, etc. I can’t walk, but really..it doesn’t affect me in a negative way.Anyway..I rambled..I always do..haha! It was interesting to see someone else who has OI. QUESTION GENITAL HERPES	Hello I have come to realize taking HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) causes Herpes outbreaks. I already had genital herpes but only had an outbreak once a year or every two years. Since I started taking HCTZ for high blood pressure, I have constant outbreaks! One isn't even healed up yet before I am getting another outbreak! I am going to my doctor to change medications. QUESTION BUNDLE BRANCH BLOCK RIGHT	i have been taking lisinopril with hctz 20mg for 4 years for the treatment of high blood pressure. Otherwise perfectly healthy and all labs are in normal ranges., I have recently been diagnosed with RBBB via an ecg. All labs are in normal range and I feel fine , play a full court game of basketball twice weekly. I hit the gym on the treadmill and exercise bike for cardio for 30 minutes each , every other day. I stopped taking the bp meds last week and went for an ecg yesterday and now ecg shows as 99 on the qrs complex. While taking the bp meds it was showing as 136 - 146 on the qrs complex. QUESTION BLOOD GLUCOSE INCREASED	Hi, I took HCTZ since 2005, I stopped taking it in 2016, After stopping HCTZ I started having issues with hypoglycemia. I am diabetic and was on glipizide and metformin at the time. I complained to my dr for two months about the hypoglycemia before getting off the glipizide myself which stopped the low blood sugar issues. I also noticed that the neuropathy seemed to clear up some after stopping HCTZ. When I told my Dr the HCTZ had caused my blood sugars to go up he denied it.
