About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of PARACETAMOL patients who developed ADHESION.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 6 individuals taking PARACETAMOL reported ADHESION to the FDA. A total of 15006 PARACETAMOL drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between PARACETAMOL and ADHESION. In doing so, we compare PARACETAMOL with other drugs that cause ADHESION, to help you evaluate whether or not PARACETAMOL causes ADHESION. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of PARACETAMOL, so you can see if ADHESION ranks among PARACETAMOL's most well-known side effects.
Summary Statistics
Reports of PARACETAMOL causing ADHESION: 6
Reports of any side effect of PARACETAMOL : 15006
Percentage of PARACETAMOL patients where ADHESION is a reported side effect: 0.0400%

FDA reports of any drug causing ADHESION : 955
Average percentage for all medicated patients where ADHESION is reported as a complication: 0.0060%

CONCERN
ANAEMIA
I have taken numerous paracetamol overdoses including one very recently - I took a staggered overdose of over 32 tablets but showed no symptoms of overdose, and, when my bloods were taken they could find no trace of paracetamol in my system. The only thing the blood tests showed was that my haemoglobin levels had dropped quite a bit between 12pm and 9pm, when I had a second blood test. It has happened before, I've overdosed multiple times and my blood tests have come back negative for the past few overdoses but after one overdose they came back saying that my iron was dangerously low, on the brink of needing a blood transfusion. The negative blood tests were always baffling - only a couple of my early overdoses did they come back positive - and I've just noticed the correlation, could it be that my body has somehow found a way to quickly metabolise paracetamol? 2016-02-11 13:17:39
