About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of THEOPHYLLINE patients who developed ACANTHOLYSIS.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 2 individuals taking THEOPHYLLINE reported ACANTHOLYSIS to the FDA. A total of 6616 THEOPHYLLINE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between THEOPHYLLINE and ACANTHOLYSIS. In doing so, we compare THEOPHYLLINE with other drugs that cause ACANTHOLYSIS, to help you evaluate whether or not THEOPHYLLINE causes ACANTHOLYSIS. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of THEOPHYLLINE, so you can see if ACANTHOLYSIS ranks among THEOPHYLLINE's most well-known side effects.
Summary Statistics
Reports of THEOPHYLLINE causing ACANTHOLYSIS: 2
Reports of any side effect of THEOPHYLLINE : 6616
Percentage of THEOPHYLLINE patients where ACANTHOLYSIS is a reported side effect: 0.0302%

FDA reports of any drug causing ACANTHOLYSIS : 33
Average percentage for all medicated patients where ACANTHOLYSIS is reported as a complication: 0.0002%

TINNITUS
My history with asthma medications goes back to the awful pre-ventolin days, I am wondering if any of the early asthma treatments 35-50 years ago might be the culprit for my tinnitus. the list I recall included Intal, Elixophaline, then later on; Ventolin, Bricanyl and Pulmicort. I am also wondering if the preventive sprays with their steroid component may be causing this. I have opted for a soy free and milk free diet and now the asthma is almost all gone, and I rarely use any sprays at all. I would welcome information 2015-08-02 09:17:03
