About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of VORICONAZOLE patients who developed FORMICATION.

FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 1 individuals taking VORICONAZOLE reported FORMICATION to the FDA. A total of 4233 VORICONAZOLE drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.

FDA Research Report

Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between VORICONAZOLE and FORMICATION. In doing so, we compare VORICONAZOLE with other drugs that cause FORMICATION, to help you evaluate whether or not VORICONAZOLE causes FORMICATION. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of VORICONAZOLE, so you can see if FORMICATION ranks among VORICONAZOLE's most well-known side effects.
Summary Statistics
Reports of VORICONAZOLE causing FORMICATION: 1
Reports of any side effect of VORICONAZOLE : 4233
Percentage of VORICONAZOLE patients where FORMICATION is a reported side effect: 0.0236%

FDA reports of any drug causing FORMICATION : 2415
Average percentage for all medicated patients where FORMICATION is reported as a complication: 0.0151%

QUESTION
DRUG HYPERSENSITIVITY
After max dose treatment with amphoceratin b liposome for Blastomycosis, which gave many allergic reactions, survived, and Benn treating with Voriconazole since 2011. Has worsening skin and eye issues! Doctor seems to blow off! Was just told needed 10 years or life time treatment with theses meds! Concerned!?!? 2015-04-07 20:44:09
QUESTION
PANCREATITIS
I took voriconaze for 6 months. I had a tumor marker done for the pancreisis when I was in the hospital because there was pain in that are and it was right on the high side of normal. Now that I have finished the voriconaze I feel nauseous all the time and just sick in general. Do you think it could have caused panceatitis since my tumor marker was already a little high in normal? They did a MRI of the pancreisis before I took the antibiotic and it was fine but now they is a dull pain where it is and I feel so bad all the time? Thanks to anyone who might help!! 2017-02-27 10:20:18
