Study of possible correlation between FEBRILE CONVULSION and ZOCOR
Accompanying discussion about FactMed users Questions and Concerns
About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of ZOCOR patients who developed FEBRILE CONVULSION.
FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 6 individuals taking ZOCOR reported FEBRILE CONVULSION to the FDA. A total of 41327 ZOCOR drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.FDA Research Report
Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between ZOCOR and FEBRILE CONVULSION. In doing so, we compare ZOCOR with other drugs that cause FEBRILE CONVULSION, to help you evaluate whether or not ZOCOR causes FEBRILE CONVULSION. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of ZOCOR, so you can see if FEBRILE CONVULSION ranks among ZOCOR's most well-known side effects.
Summary StatisticsReports of ZOCOR causing FEBRILE CONVULSION: 6
Reports of any side effect of ZOCOR : 41327
Percentage of ZOCOR patients where FEBRILE CONVULSION is a reported side effect: 0.0145%
FDA reports of any drug causing FEBRILE CONVULSION : 620
Average percentage for all medicated patients where FEBRILE CONVULSION is reported as a complication: 0.0039%
