Study of possible correlation between INTESTINAL POLYP and ZOCOR
Accompanying discussion about FactMed users Questions and Concerns
About this FactMed analysis covering adverse side effect reports of ZOCOR patients who developed INTESTINAL POLYP.
FactMed provides MD-approved analysis to help both patients, researchers, and physicians accurately assess the risk profile for more than 20,000 different pharmaceutical products. The below report offers compiled information from Food & Drug Administration and FactMed user submissions. Between January 2004 and October 2012, 22 individuals taking ZOCOR reported INTESTINAL POLYP to the FDA. A total of 41327 ZOCOR drug adverse event reaction reports were made with the FDA during this time period. Often the FDA only receives reports of the most critical and severe cases; these numbers may therefore underrepresent the complication rate of the medication.FDA Research Report
Introduction This page is designed to help you determine the relationship, if any, between ZOCOR and INTESTINAL POLYP. In doing so, we compare ZOCOR with other drugs that cause INTESTINAL POLYP, to help you evaluate whether or not ZOCOR causes INTESTINAL POLYP. Likewise, this page shows the most highly-reported side effects of ZOCOR, so you can see if INTESTINAL POLYP ranks among ZOCOR's most well-known side effects.
Summary StatisticsReports of ZOCOR causing INTESTINAL POLYP: 22
Reports of any side effect of ZOCOR : 41327
Percentage of ZOCOR patients where INTESTINAL POLYP is a reported side effect: 0.0532%
FDA reports of any drug causing INTESTINAL POLYP : 667
Average percentage for all medicated patients where INTESTINAL POLYP is reported as a complication: 0.0042%
